Responsibilities:

• Lead the cost analysis and financial planning for the company. Prepare financial reports and presentations to communicate the company financial status to the leadership team.
• Review and analyze financial data to monitor company performance including cost performance, revenue recognition, cash flow, inventory control, managing AR and AP, and profitability.
• Understand the operations of the business and the underlying relationships between inputs, outputs and the processes that support them.
• Create and maintain budgets and monitor spending.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS, and government cost accounting standards Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
• Responsible for the tax accounting and DCAA relationships including the approval of DCAA provisional billing rates and incurred cost submissions (ICS).
• Collaborate with Program Managers to develop project cost estimates and budgets and provide financial support for contract negotiations, including preparing cost and pricing data.
• Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions and evaluate accounting and internal control systems.

Requirements:

• US citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
• 7 years accounting experience with 3 years of experience in government cost accounting preferably in the defense contracting industry.
• Strong knowledge of government accounting regulations, including FAR and CAS.
• Mastery in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis using Excel or other financial software – eager to embrace ERP (Unanet) and accounting software tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and collaborative problem-solving abilities.
